Super Subtle Smokey Eye Tutorial

Hey guys! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today I have a smokey look that’s perfect for anyone who likes the richness and color of a smokey eye, but at the same time likes to keep it minimal. For this tutorial, I’m using the ELF eye brightening eyeshadow quad in “Drama”

And the Revlon colorstay Liquid eyeliner in black.

(sorry if the pictures are upside down)

In this quad, you get a matte white,a shimmery light silver, a gunmetal silver with shimmer, and a black with slight sheen (less than the others, but too much to be considered matte.)
The revlon liner is a favorite of mine. It stays on very well, even with my oily eyelids.

The end result will look like this:

It has just enough black to give a slight smoke to your eyes, but it dosent overwhelm your face. Depending on your mood, you could either add a bit more or less color for a more striking (or subtle) look.

Ok! So on with the tutorial!

Step 1:ย  line your upper lid with the Revlon liquid liner.

As you can see, mine isn’t the straightest, but that’s alright. We’re going to put black eyeshadow right on top anyway ๐Ÿ™‚

Step 2:
Ok, so now take an angled eyeliner brush, and dip it into the black eyeshadow.

Put this color over the liquid liner for a smokey effect.

Now it does look quite harsh here because it is not blended. I personally like to blend mine with a q-tip. I feel its small enough to easily get right where the eyeshadow and liner are than an actual brush.

This is after we have blended. It gives a much more smoked look than just regular liner.

Step 3: take the gunmetal silver shade on your angled liner brush, and put it close to the lashline for a bit of shimmer.

Step 4: put on your favorite mascara and lip gloss! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thats it! Quick and simple smokey look thats perfect for every day or even school!

Hoped you enjoyed it!
